BMW 7 Series Launch at Alto Vetro wins an award
EuroEvents Ltd, received international recognition for their innovative event concept and design for the ‘BMW 7 Series Launch’ at a Gala Awards ceremony held in New Orleans this weekend. The launch event for the BMW 7 Series took place in the penthouses of one of Ireland’s tallest residential buildings, the stunning Altro Vetro building, in Dublin’s Grand Canal Basin, and introduced the new vehicle to its target audience by bringing guests to a 15th floor showroom to learn about the car’s new technology.

Dylan’s wish to become a train driver was granted by the Make A Wish Foundation and Spencer Dock Development Company, Dylan became the first driver to drive the new LUAS from Spencer Dock to the O2. The new line, which officially opens next week will stop at the IFSC, Spencer Dock and the O2.

The new refurbished and rebranded WiltonPlaza was launched 9th September to all office agents. Derek Nolan spoke about the newly refurbished building, he was then joined on stage by a special guest Alan Shortt (one of Ireland’s top comedians), Alan got the crowd going with his one man show, impersonating Brian Cowen and Bertie Ahearn. The event was a great success! Well done Michael! 5th September 2009 Spencer Dock Luas Bridge THE NEW Spencer Dock bridge in the Dublin docklands won the Best Structural Design prize at a Leaf (Leading European Architects Forum) awards ceremony in Berlin. The awards, now in their sixth year, are given to those who "have made an outstanding contribution to the world of architectural design" and for buildings that set benchmarks. 24th August Alto Vetro wins award

Senator David Norris and several Edwardian characters were the first to cross the new Luas bridge at Spencer Dock. The Spencer Dock Bridge is the principal structure along the LUAS Red Line C1 extension to the Point Depot which is scheduled to open this winter. The landmark Spencer Dock Bridge will carry the LUAS across the Royal Canal and along Mayor Street. 4th June 2009 PROGRESS AT BATTERSEA 
Battersea Power Station site has launched a second public exhibition for local residents to view Rafael Vinoly’s advanced masterplan for the site from today, Thursday 4th to Saturday 6th June. It is a year since the first public exhibition, which was attended by 15,000 people, and since then the masterplan has evolved to take account of many comments received. Nationwide, the world’s largest building society is expanding its operations into the Republic of Ireland and has chosen to locate its new Irish headquarters in Number 3 Spencer Dock. Nationwide is the UK’s third largest mortgage lender and second largest savings provider. The building society has agreed a 25 year lease on 7,000 sq ft. of office accommodation, at penthouse level in Number 3 Spencer Dock, immediately adjacent to this 60,000 sq ft building recently occupied by The Central Bank and Financial Services Authority (CBFSAI). The building was forward funded by Anglo Irish Assurance Company.

An Bord Pleanala has granted approval for the development of a €100m headquarters office building on Baggot Street while Dublin City Council has granted permission for developments, amounting to an investment of over €185m, at Spencer Dock in the heart of the city’s docklands. 19th December 2008 New €800m Ballymun Town Centre Approved The final piece in Ballymun Regeneration programme gets go-ahead. Treasury Holdings has been granted planning permission to develop Spring Cross, Ballymun Town Centre, an €800 million mixed use development in the heart of the Ballymun regeneration area in North Dublin. It is hoped that construction will start in 2009 during which time 2,000 jobs will be generated. It is expected that 8,500 direct and indirect jobs will be created once complete in 2012. 
10th December 2008 €80 million Sligo Town Centre Scheme Gets Go-ahead from An Bord Pleanala Treasury Holdings has been given the go-ahead to develop its Sligo Town Centre scheme by An Bord Pleanala. The €80 million scheme, which will provide a new focus for retailing in Sligo, will be anchored by Dunnes Stores, Tesco’s and Penney’s and will comprise 30 shops, 1,000 car parking spaces, 27 apartments and 30,000 sq ft of office space. It is hoped that construction will start in 2009 during which time 500 people will be employed at the site. Once complete the scheme will create 500 direct and indirect jobs.

13th November 2008 Treasury Holdings wins awards for 'Best New Comer Stand' at BCSC Treasury Holdings launched its brand new retail offering in Dublin, Ireland to the UK retailers at this year’s BCSC event. The developer’s €800 million new town centre called Spring Cross is located in Ballymun, North Dublin and is on a 5.9 hectare site that is set to service the entire north side of Dublin City. During 2007 it was decided that the existing planning permission did not optimise the development potential for the site nor meet the emerging planning guidance for the area. In April 2007 world renown architect Rafael Vinoly was appointed to produce a new masterplan. The new professional team has approached the development afresh with the aim of producing a truly robust, deliverable scheme that combines the best practice in policy terms with a sustainable, exemplar development for London. It is also the intention that the development becomes a catalyst project for the wider redevelopment of the Nine Elms corridor. 15 June 2008 Eco House in Enniskerry Earlier this year, Treasury Holdings received planning permission for a single eco house in Enniskerry. Construction on the single house will commence shortly following discussions with architects, engineers and sustainability advisers to design a dwelling that meets Building Energy Rating A standards. Treasury Holdings, one of Ireland’s largest and most successful property companies, was awarded the International Property Achievement Award at the Irish Property Awards Ceremony 2006, which took place in the Burlington Hotel yesterday evening. Organised by UK property magazine Property Week in association with the Irish Independent and the Belfast Telegraph, the annual Irish Property Awards are one of the most prestigious awards ceremonies for the property and development industry in Ireland. The company received the award for its work on the Dongtan Eco-city in China. When it has been completed, Dongtan Eco-city will include approx 4.2 million sq m of mixed accommodation, constructed on a site of some 1,000 hectares. This major project effectively forms an entire new city suburb for Shanghai. Embracing the latest technologies, the development will also be a world leader in sustainable, environmentally responsible construction. The development will take place on Chongming Island, which is located off the northern coast of Shanghai at the mouth of the Yangtze River. The island will be linked to the mainland by a new 9 km tunnel together with a 13 km bridge, both currently under construction.
1 November 2006 NCC Architect Says Centre will be Landmark Building!
 World-renowned Irish born Architect Kevin Roche was in Dublin on the 1st November 2006 to discuss plans for his latest project, the proposed National Conference Centre at Spencer Dock, with Spencer Dock International Conference Centre Ltd. (SDICC). Speaking about the project, Mr. Roche said that his aim had been to design a building that would be as iconic as the two major landmarks along the Liffey, The Four Courts and The Custom House. Mr. Roche stated that, for it to be successful, the Centre must be properly planned, well managed and most of all, memorable, “The challenge for me was to design a building for conventioneers and visitors that is state of the art, a pleasant place to visit and works better than any other Conference Centre anywhere.” Born in Ireland, Kevin Roche is the country’s most famous International architect. Best known for his work on the Metropolitan Museum of Modern Art, Mr. Roche has master-planned the design of world class facilities including 38 institutional and corporate headquarters together with performing arts centres, theatres, university campus buildings and the Central Park Zoo. 18 October 2006
Minister Visits Site of the Proposed National Conference Centre Minister Visits Site of the Proposed National Conference Centre Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism, John O’Donoghue, T.D. visited the proposed site of the National Conference Centre on the 18th October 2006. The site visit follows the appointment of the SDICC as the designated Preferred Tenderer for the public/private partnership to design, build, finance and operate the National Conference Centre at Spencer Dock. Chairman/CEO of Spencer Dock International Conference Centre Ltd (SDICC) Dermod Dwyer welcomed the visit from the Minister, stating that “It is a real recognition for Kevin Roche, the architect, the NEC group as designated managers, CMP/Sisk the building contractors, the extensive Irish and international professional team, and the other major stakeholders particularly the promoters Spencer Dock Development Company (SDDC) – led by Treasury Holdings, all of whom have demonstrated a strong commitment and belief in this project over many years. The proposed National Conference Centre will include a 2,000-seat auditorium, two 450-seat multi-media halls, exhibition spaces, conference banqueting halls, meeting rooms and lecture areas. The site will also house a 5 Star Hotel that will cater for the large number of people expected to visit the city to use the facility. The Spencer Dock International Convention Centre Ltd. team is currently finalising contractual issues for this Public Private Partnership project with the Office of Public Works. Both parties anticipate that this phase will be completed within the next number of weeks after which, SDICC will commence the construction of the National Conference Centre. 16 October 2006 Harvard University Delegates visit Spencer Dock Harvard University Delegates Impressed by Spencer Dock Delegates from world-renowned Harvard University visiting Dublin’s Docklands earlier this year were impressed with the scale and ambition of Spencer Dock. The delegation visited the Docklands area on the 16th October 2006 to observe the progress of the regeneration of Dublin’s Docklands.

  Over 60 office agents attended a coffee morning in the Treasury Building so they could view the recently modernized second floor space (1,879 sq m) which is now available to let. There was an American theme to the event which coincided with Thanksgiving and a competition was held where the prize was a weekend for two in New York.
