Now in its ninth year, Entrepreneur of the Year® was created by Ernst & Young as a unique community platform for Ireland’s Entrepreneurs to celebrate and encourage emulation of their great achievements, and to provide accelerated business development support that helps take businesses to the next level.

The 2006 winners were chosen from a total of 24 finalists shortlisted by a judging panel from over 150 entries. The panel looks at criteria including growth in turnover, and employee numbers, together with factors such as vision, degree of innovation, creativity in production and marketing and performance in local and international markets.
